Simple Things You Can Do To Live A Happier Life

Updated: Nov 5, 2021

Self-care doesn't have to be a lot of work- in this blog post, we are sharing easy habits that can be incorporated into your everyday life. By doing these things, you will feel more productive and will be ready to take on the day!

1. Make Your Bed

Starting off your day by making your bed is a super simple act that can change the trajectory of your entire day. It helps kick start your day in the most positive way, it gives you a feeling of accomplishment, develops strong organizational habits and can increase productivity.

2. Drink Water

We know, we know, everyone is always saying drink water to live better, but it’s true! By drinking only 8 glasses of water a day, you will reap the benefits of increased energy levels, lessened fatigue, promoted productivity, and boosted skin health and beauty!

3. Spend Time Outdoors

Spending only 30 minutes outside a day can greatly improve your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing (Wahoo!). Among a variety of other benefits: most people lack vitamin D because they do not get enough sunshine, not only does vitamin D promote healthy skin and hair, but it has been proven to also reduce depression.

4. Be Active

This could be as simple as going for a 10-minute stroll or going to an intense cycle class, whatever your fitness level, physical activity is a great method to improve mental and physical health. Benefits of physical activity include: improving the quality of your sleep, reducing feelings of anxiety and depression, boosting memory and brain function, and it can even help protect your body against various diseases!

5. Pamper Yourself

Small self-indulgences like baths or facemasks can work wonders for you and your body. Not only can they make you feel better emotionally and mentally by boosting your mood, improving concentration, and reducing your body’s stress hormone, but the physical perks aren’t bad either! It’s a win-win, a simple hair mask can help you de-stress while also helping you de-frizz!

6. Get Creative:

This could be anything from taking a dance lesson to knitting a scarf, but it all comes back to what you like to do to get those creative juices flowing. Creativity improves your overall health… who knew that grabbing a fun coloring book could boost your brain power or that crafting is comparable to meditation.

7: Eat Better:

It goes without saying but we must reiterate… food is the key to happiness! Almost everything in your daily life comes back to how you are fueling your body to take on the day, if garbage goes into your body, then a similar mood and performance will go out. Aside from the enormous health benefits, your mood and mind are equally impacted by what you eat, so make the right choices.
