Ingredients
- Milk or milk substitute of choice
- Rolled Oats
- Chia seeds (optional)
- Maple syrup, honey, or sweetener of choice
- Toppings of choice (fruit, nuts, peanut butter etc.)
Instructions
1. In a mason jar, or tall glass, combine equal parts milk and oats. My favourite milk to use is Almond, but it is entirely up to you! For this batch, I used 1 cup of each. Add in a 1/8 cup of chia seeds and a ¼ cup of peanut butter if desired.
2. Add in sweetener of choice - I used 2 tbsp of maple syrup but this step is entirely up to you, based on your desired level of sweetness.
3. Next, stir the ingredients until there are no clumps, and seal with a lid. My container didn’t have a lid, so I sealed it with aluminum foil, and it worked great! Let refrigerate for at least 3 hours, although I’ve found that overnight is best!
4. Add your favourite toppings. I typically add whatever fruit I have in the fridge, along with any nuts I can find around the house. This time, I added raspberries and walnuts, and it was delicious.
5. Grab a spoon and enjoy!
